Purpose: To understand how the space will be experienced, used and lived in.
This stage includes:

Exploring the atmosphere and character you want to create

02 Spatial Strategy
Purpose: To resolve how the home should flow and function before developing the interior concept.
Rethinking the Space
This stage includes:

Assessment of the existing layout and spatial constraints

Exploration of alternative layouts and reconfiguration opportunities

Planning circulation, zoning and relationships between rooms

Considering natural light, sightlines and connection to the outdoors

Early furniture, kitchen and key-room planning
-
Identifying where architectural or structural input may be required
03 Concept & Design Development
Shaping the Character
Purpose: To develop a cohesive creative direction around the resolved spatial plan.
This stage includes:

Development of the overarching design concept and narrative

Mood, atmosphere and visual references

Preliminary material, colour and finish direction

Lighting, furniture and bespoke joinery ideas
-
Refinement of layouts alongside the developing concept

Ensuring the design feels personal, cohesive and appropriate to the home
04 Specification & Implementation
Purpose: To resolve the details and support the design through to completion.
Bringing the Design to Life
This stage includes:

Detailed layouts and interior design development
-
Material, finish, lighting and furniture specifications
-
Bespoke joinery and key design details where required
-
Preparation of drawings and schedules to support delivery

Coordination of design information with the appointed project team

Ongoing design guidance during construction or installation

Final furnishing, styling and finishing touches
